Event Highlights:
• Bring a Wrapped Book: Share a favorite book by a queer author or one with compelling queer characters. Wrap it up and let the surprise unfold!
• Write a “Love Note”: Include a notecard with your book, sharing why it holds a special place in your heart. Your words might inspire someone else’s next great read!
• Connect & Celebrate: Meet and mingle with fellow LGBTQ+ book lovers. Discover new perspectives and celebrate the rich tapestry of queer stories.
This is more than just a book swap—it’s a celebration of our community and our stories. Whether you’re a lifelong reader or just looking to explore, come together to exchange ideas, find new favorites, and share the love of literature. Refreshments will be available for purchase at the new Original Grinds in downtown Fredericksburg.
Bonus: Attendees will have the chance to explore a curated selection of books from queer authors and stories featuring queer characters, all while enjoying great company and atmosphere. AND we will have a chance to win a book raffle sponsored by Central Rappahannock Regional Library (must be present to win).
How to Participate:
1. Wrap a book (or books!) by a queer author or with queer representation.
2. Attach a notecard with a personal note about why you love it.
3. Bring your wrapped book to the event and be ready to swap and chat!
