FXBG PRIDE MARCH will be held Saturday, June 24th at 10:00 AM.  Our theme this year is I LOVE MY CITY – MY CITY LOVES ME!  We have a wonderful  Positivity Hype Team on board run by volunteers this year! Meet at Riverfront Park @ 10:00AM  Procession to begin at 10:30 AM through the streets downtown with Progress Pride flags on either side of us!  Route to lead us directly into FXBG PRIDE @ Old Mill Park!  Why a morning march? We want to beat the heat!

Route: Riverfront Park – Charlotte Street – Caroline Street – Old Mill Park

Why did the location change? Accessibility, bathroom access, and grass provide a cooler starting point than asphalt.

*March Parking: Fredericksburg VRE Parking Lot B is available to the public as well as City Dock Parking and parking in the main Sophia Street Parking lot. FXBG PRIDE, Fredericksburg Pride and there of are not responsible for parking, parking fees or any costs associated with attendance of “FXBG PRIDE” event(s).

BATHROOMS are located at the Fredericksburg Visitors Center a block away @ 706 Caroline Street.

Accessibility: Fredericksburg Pride will have an ASL interpreter onsite for the Pre-march speeches and during the march. The interpreter will be at the front of the march. The march is approximately 1.3 miles. Riverfront Park is a flat park with sidewalk access and a grassy field. 

*Code of Conduct and Participation Guidelines By entering our event premises, you agree to our event participation guidelines which include creating a space where our community can celebrate regardless of differences or disagreements. All participants whether a citizen, vendors, volunteers, paid staff or others are treated with courtesy and respect. By entering our event premises, you agree to our the Dress Code regulated by the City of Fredericksburg. “A person who intentionally makes an obscene display or exposure of his person or the private parts thereof in any public place or in any place where others are present or procures another to so expose himself shall be guilty of a class 1 misdemeanor. No person shall be deemed to be in violation of this section for breastfeeding a child in any public place or any place where others are present.” When you enter a Fredericksburg Pride (FXBG Pride) event or program, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the event premises, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, webcasts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by FXBG Pride and its affiliates and representatives. Images, photos, and/or videos may be used to promote similar FXBG Pride events in the future, highlight the event and exhibit the capabilities of FXBG Pride. You release FXBG Pride, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video, and/or sound recordings. The privacy of the participants at Fredericksburg Pride & FXBG PRIDE is respected, and the photography/videography of individuals at the event may be limited by the individual’s denial of a request for a photograph/videography/interview. We ask that individuals who prefer not to be in photographs/videos avoid the view of the lens. We understand this may be hard in some instances as large group photos may be taken in an effort to show the size of the event or the capabilities of FXBG PRIDE. Within a month following the event, an individual may request a photo of said individual to be blurred of their face for privacy. Other considerations may be considered per request – FXBG PRIDE and Fredericksburg Pride affiliates have the right to deny requests prior to/after to event, with respect. Inappropriate photography/videography that, in the sole opinion of Fredericksburg Pride, would reflect in a derogatory manner on the Committee, the event or its participants, is prohibited. Offensive or overly aggressive pursuit of photographs is not permitted. By entering the event premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, webcasting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by FXBG Pride or the person or entity designated to do so by FXBG Pride. You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before entering the event
