This lecture explores the process of finding queer ancestors (including some acquainted with James Monroe); the ways they sought to understand their lives and loves; and how their experiences were both similar to and different from those of queer people today. \nSeating will be in the museum courtyard. \nPlease contact lcrawfor@umw.edu for accessibility and other questions.
