Through various art-making prompts\, participants will create a visual of their internal self and reflect on how their unique self affects the community and others around them. Participants will reflect with expressive prompts\, healthy ways to regulate their internal output while making sure their needs are met. This workshop builds on mindfulness and wellness practices through arts and personal creativity to aid in creating a better understanding of oneself and one’s interactions with others. This workshop aids in promoting overall wellness and understanding of boundaries\, personal space\, and community through personal creative expression. \n\nFacilitator Description :\nJessica “Dottie” Heiler (she/her) is currently working toward her M.A. in Mental Health Counseling in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University. Expressive Arts Therapy is an arts-integrated approach to therapy that uses writing\, art\, drama\, music\, and dance ( just to name a few) and one’s creativity as part of the therapeutic process. DESCRIPTION:ALL Womens Group – Walk around town and Carls \nThis social support event is for ALL Women – 18+ belonging in the S2LGBTQIA+ community. \nThis program typically meets on the last Monday of the month –\nmonthly location subject to change due to that nights activity! \nMonday\, March 25th\n6:30-8:30pm – Carls Frozen Custard – 2200 Princess Anne St\, Fredericksburg\, VA 22401\n(Please arrive prior to 6:30 so that we can start our walk promptly) \nCost: Cost of custard (cash only) \n*Sponsorship available with request – please email us at fxbgpride@gmail.com to discuss details. \n*Please note this is not a Carls sponsored event* \nAccessibility: We will start at Carls and walk the 3.1 mile canal path. At a faster pace this can take just over an hour. At a more leasurely pace it will be closer to 1.5-2. The path is paved and has some hills. Carls has a concrete sidewalk\, easily accessible by wheelchair and accepts cash only. Seating will be outside. Masks are not required for those fully vaxxed + boosted and encouraged for those who are not.
